Oweh, Williams, Adebo, Little, Odeyingbo, Imatorbhebhe, Forrest, and Van Lanen feel like Packers all the way. I think those first two picks would give people a conniption fit because they don't fit the prescribed needs, but they would be super exciting developmental talents. I know I personally would be fascinated to see what they become, because we're talking about special guys from a traits standpoint. You almost can't find examples of guys taken in the top 100 with their level of giftedness who didn't succeed. It's ironic to me-- people who follow the draft often label super athletes who lack a lot of production as "risky" and sub-part athletes with great production as "safe." But the reality is the opposite. Superb athletes who have football ability but haven't put it together yet are a lot safer than good college football players who lack the traits to translate to the pro game. I have said repeatedly that Walker Little going day 1 or day 3 wouldn't shock me, but I did hear Zierlein (who doesn't like him much) say that he's heard top 50-60 picks all the way. For what that's worth. Pick #135 for a guy with his profile seems a little wishful. Newsome, Taylor, Jefferson, and Felton don't feel like fits to me. Newsome, Jefferson, and Felton are just bad athletes all around (relative to their peers). Drafting them would break their trends in a major way. And frankly, they would have to really break the trends of comparable athletes to find success. Taylor is likewise below there typical thresholds, but much closer to the types of players that they usually select. But from what I know about him, he's very much a press man type of corner who you don't want playing a lot of zone coverage. If the defense moves in the direction that we think, he might not fit what's asked of him.
