<<<Last year, Sherman parlayed 14 draft picks into only six players. >>> This simply isn't true. Sherman wheeled and dealed to get extra picks and used those picks to get the players he wanted. All of the Sander bashers are going to look pretty silly in 2005. The Packers adjusted his footwork to get the ball off more quickly. It takes time to make that adjustment and get your body to do what you're brain is telling you to do. Wolf had lots of bad choices over the years, particularly 1st round picks. If any of you would compare a roster, any roster, to the drafts of that team, you'll be surprised how many of the picks that aren't even on the team. Most of those wonderful picks by Wolf that were mentioned took time to develop. Sherman had three years as GM. You're passing judgement on Sherman before judgement is warranted. Maybe in today's football, you need to split up the GM and the HC and maybe not. I think that Sherman was doing a fine job considering he inhereted a receiving corps, that was lousy or too young to play. Remember Schroeder and an aging Freeman. Remember Bradford who was picked up in the expansion draft by the Houstin. Remember also that in the last few years he had been trying to rebuild a defense with a lousy secondary, one linebacker and a defensive line that is really offensive in it's play. All of the young players might make a difference, we'll see. I do have some doubt because this will be the third defensive coordinator and third defensive system in three years. The only thing that I don't like about Sherman is his interviews. He talks too much. If I had one piece of advice for him, I'd tell him to SHUT UP! Now please, stop the Sherman bashing.
