I can't say he jumped out at me either. Note Lowry's total grade as well, a guy I did note making a decent run stop or two. Note the snap counts in different categories and the respective grades. I don't recall if Johnson's 24 yard run went in the direction of either of these guys, but if it didn't their max run game culpability would be in Detroit's other 27 runs for 70 yards. That's pretty darn good on the maximum damage scale. I was about to say Morrison's high total grade was skewed toward run defense where his snaps are highly concentrated and where he earned a high grade. Then I looked at Lowry who took nearly half his snaps in pass rush where he earned an "average" grade. While Lowry graded slightly higher in run D than Morrison he was somewhat worse in tackling. How is it Lowry's mediocre grade in all those pass rush snaps did not drag down his overall grade relative to Morrison except by a couple of points's? Or how did Linsley's run block grade, where he took less than 25% of his snaps, drag down his overall grade so far relative to his pass blocking grade, the opposite treatment of Lowry's overall grade not getting taken down for his nearly 50% "average" pass rush snaps? I don't get what the PFF black box is doing. At all. Assuming the data is accurate. At least the Bahktiari numbers are correct based on this: https://www.profootballfocus.com/news/pro-week-5-nfl-team-of-the-week
