Nice video about the "Golden Boy"

    Trivia for you...

Who is the ONLY player to win the Heisman Trophy from a team with a losing record?

Paul Hornung of course, Notre Dame was 2-8 in 1956 when Hornung won the Heisman.

Who else was on the 1956 Heisman ballot? Almost a "Who's who" of football-

    Paul Hornung
    Johnny Majors
    Tommy McDonald
    Jim Brown
    Ron Kramer
    John Brodie

    ...pretty good company!

Great!!! Did you catch the "shoulder pad shift" in one of the clips? Every kid my age did that in every backyard game. I love Paul Hornung.

Exactly, make a hit, get up and grab your shoulder pads from the front and adjust them...who didn't want to be the "Golden Boy"?

Paul Hornung was what Michael Vick would've been if he had been a HB, and had been sucessful.
