Probably not, but we're all going to find out soon enough anyway. So might as well get to it. First, try googling "parsons penn state hazing ****** abuse". I don't even want to repeat some of the things in that incident; people should just read it themselves. Prepare to be disgusted. Ok, so, people can change as they grow up. Maybe he's not that kind of guy anymore. But it still doesn't speak well of him. More recently, he's been pretty controversial in the locker room. Over the years, players have gone to management a number of times to complain about his aittutude, and the words "toxic" and "diva" come up fairly often. More than one Dallas beat writer was saying as far back as Year 2 that Jones was not going to restructure him, because he was too controversial, divisive, and a distraction. Jones also felt that Parsons wasn't showing the kind of leadership a star player should provide, and there was reporting that Jones first started looking into trading him at least 2 years ago. Last year, he pissed a lot of people off when he started a podcast, and was critical of some teammates. Several players (including Demarcus Lawrence) called him out for running his mouth, talking the talk but not walking the walk on leadership, and when Parsons slapped back, Lawrence said "Calling me a clown won’t change the fact that I told the truth. Maybe if you spent less time tweeting and more time winning, I wouldn’t have left". Soo, there it is. My hope is that if he steps into a much more healthy, mature team culture, and gets a fresh start, maybe he'll turn over a new leaf.
