Between Parsons and Golden, this Packer team is going to have a little more personality than we're used to. Another thing I'd say is that aside from QBs, we don't usually have players that are good enough to be "Richards".I mentioned that Parsons is not the kind of person who will come into a locker room and become everyone's friend. In fact, based on information I have, that came straight from the Cowboys locker room, he was considered an abbreviation for Richard. He was moody, and didn't really become part of the family of players, choosing to be an "It's all about me" person. Based on whom the person was who suggested this to me, I'm pretty darned confident it's true.
I wanted to see what Skip Bayless thought about all this, knowing he is a big Cowboy fan. He said basically that Parsons is a one trick pony, only good for rushing the quarterback, can't defend the run, and thus is not an elite defensive player (even if he's elite at pass rushing). He also said that he made a big splash in his first year, but then the league figured him out, and he hasn't taken over a game since. He did preface these comments by saying he was biased, being a Cowboy fan though. One of the other guys on the panel pointed out that he has never led the league in sacks.
