studs: graham-clutch catch, refs-thanks you owed us many, lizard-what a catch, leflour-good coaching, crosby-all you anti crosby haters that complained past years...you know who you are

duds: king, sheperd, jones

Graham? Hell no. He's the highest-paid TE in the NFL. Until he starts earning that money he's a DUD all the way. He's washed up. Lewis was a better receiving threat than he was and that should tell you something.

I call ********. There was NO evidence that the ball ever broke the plane on that Lions "TD." They did NOT give us the game.
There was. I went back and looked at it several times. There is a point where you can see the tip of the ball break the plane. It was a good call. Although I haven't rewatched the whole game, there are at least 6 blown calls in the game. Several of them appear to have had an effect on the score. One way to prevent that from happening is to score enough points so that the ref's calls don't make a difference in the outcome of the game. Remember, it's only 6-8 plays that determine the outcome of any game. What you don't want is the refs to be determing those plays.

Studs
Rodgers- played better than the numbers show considering all the drops and that the pick wasn't on him
Jamaal Williams
Defense- Started off slow but played well after the first few drives. Run defense was good in particular
JK Scott
Crosby
Lazard- really the only bright spot in terms of WRs

Duds
WRs for most of the game- the drops are ridiculous, we're lucky that it didn't cost us. Really need someone to step up while Davante is out
Shepherd
Graham
The refs- let's be honest, there is a good chance we lose this game if it isn't for the phantom illegal hands penalties. Gotta keep it real

Check out these still photos from the game on this GDT on Football's Future:

Happy to be 5-1, but I feel dirty after that one. We were the worse team for about 80% of the game AND needed help from the refs.

Studs: D for stopping for fgs. Lazard.
Duds: turnovers and drops oh my.

Anyone else think they should have gone for the TD on 3rd down at the end? FGs aren't guaranteed.

Detroit couldn't put us away. They had to settle for FGs instead of TDs. If they score TDs we don't come back at all.

Super stud: Mason Crosby getting redemption for last year's Ford Field debacle

Studs: Allan Lazard, Jamal Williams, Z Smith, Rodgers, Mercedes Lewis

Blatantly Bad Duds: Graham and G-Mo

I wonder how seriously hurt G-Mo is. With D. Adams out for God knows how long we will be mighty thin there if Geronimo is sidelined.

Graham is a snail. I run faster than that guy. :p

Lazard! Coming out party
Crosby clutch

Duds
Crosby on the lambeau leap requiring an assist
Shepherd: fumble on punt
Aaron Jones: fumble and dropped easy TD.

Yeah, that drop was so unlike Jones. Crazy how he missed it.

Let's be real, we got terribly lucky with the officiating. W is a W nonetheless, plus Rodgers was vintage. Also, Welcome to the team Lazard, you ain't never sitting on no PS no more.

Studs: Rodgers, Lazard, J. Williams, Lewis, King, Preston & Crosby
Duds: Shepherd, Graham. There is no way we are not cutting Jimmy next season.

I do not know if this has been said yet or not, but a Mike McCarthey team would not have won that football game. Jamal Williams would have scored. Leaving Matt Stafford a minute and 45 seconds to torch Kevin King. It is nice for a change winning games in the 4th quarter with effective clock management. Of course Aaron Rodgers helped in this instance as well, but a great effort by all coaches (besides whoever the guy was telling Darius Shepard its OK- this is not volleyball, in football you do not cheer when someone screws up. Darius Shepard better be spending the next 5 days attached to that jugs machine, fielding punts/kick offs and working on his footing triple overtime unless BG is on the phone trying to acquire a return specialist).

I'm so sick of the MM wouldn't have... You realize how much we won with him and in all the fashions we won games? It got ugly near the end, but there was pretty much an entire decade filled with mostly disciplined well running teams that won a lot. He's gone and we're finding new ways to win, which is refreshing, after the past few seasons but let it go already if you're not able to remember what we actually had.

Everyone knocking GMo...but honestly after that first drive play where he ran before he had the ball GMo's routes and breaks were cleaner than I think I'd see all year, and it showed with AR looking and going his way...now GMo a couple times just didn't shield defenders well, but a couple times those defenders simply made excellent plays as well.

I feel bad for Shepherd, I genuinely feel his shiftiness and route running for a YOUNG guy seems above what I thought it would be...the punt muff, than the slip on the INT...I don't see how he stays but dangit if I don't see potential in the dude.

Anyways my STUDS and DUDS

STUDS
LaFluer - DUDE, you coached up a heck of a game with all the miscues and things not going our way it seemed.
Jamaal Williams - Grown man running, dude will punch you in the mouth but next time juke you...love it.
Lazard - This coming out party I PRAY is legit, as I love his grit post catch and his route running.
The ENTIRE front D...Smiths/Lowry/Clark and more...Fackrell came to play!!!

DUDS
Shepherd has to get one....sadly.
First quarter King....after that horrendous start he really played a decent game

It's not though, he's made some catches and he's had his share of drops in his short career. Even when he catches it, watch the good pass catchers, they usually always put the ball away quickly, no bobbles unless someone has a hand in there shifting the ball around, but they still get it. Jones has never caught like that, there is usually always ball movement, even on the free catches. And he hasn't lost a ton of fumbles in his career, but that ball gets moved in his arms or gets knocked out and recovered more than fans realize. His ball security is like his running style, always on the edge of control it seems.

I supported MM up until the bitter end. But I think it is naive to even question if we win that game with him. Offensively, we would not have even been in that game. This is not a knock at MM, its a bode to what MLF and his staff has been able to do. The offense is not pretty, but six weeks into an entirely new playbook, with new plays being added each week is something Packers fans should rightfully be excited about. We watched the same offense for a decade, which was fun in 2009-2013, but got very old and predictable. I do not think I saw more than 2 new plays added to the system in the years between 2013-2018 and one of them was a hail mary.

It's ignorant to not remember we have won plenty of games we probably should have lost over the years with him too. Winning a super bowl with how many on IR? 15? tell me the guy couldn't coach LOL i don't care how long ago it was. Thus far we've we've won 5 games. MLF has a long long ways to go. Winning in the short term is done by a lot of people in the NFL

He's gone, MLF is doing a good job so far and I'm happy. let's let it go and appreciate it for what it is. But when everyone is MM couldn't this, MM would have done that, you sound like Greg Jennings with a microphone being asked about GB. Very narrow and biased view.

Excellent pic Mondio. Between Booger last night and sports talk radio this morning, that horse has been beat to death. All teams have calls go against them at times,it is how they respond that matters.

We gave Detroit every opportunity to absolutely bury us and all they could do is kick 50 yarders. for as disappointed as I am in that performance, it's also encouraging because everything that went wrong, they rose up to limit points and the offense made it work when they were short handed by a lot. It was a big win, with lots of learning moments again. Never complain about winning those.

I actually like this Aaron Rodgers who attempts mid range passes. Shame the receivers are having trouble keeping hold of it. Pay Jordy to come back.

The only dud I haven't seen mentioned is the grounds crew. People on BOTH sides had trouble cutting and planting. I'm not sure why the field seemed so slick. Don't people wear cleats anymore?

I wonder if King is 100%...

Lol King hasn’t been 100% since he was in Middle School.

Jimmy Graham is going to set the single season record for appearing as a DuD which I believe is held by Brett Hundley haha. This guy is worthless. Can’t block, can’t make the routine catch smh. I wish The Packers stop trying to force it to this guy because they are trying to save face in knowing they blew 10 mil on an average Tightend at best. Lewis blocks way better and he catches the ball just as good. If the Packers are real trying to win they’d give him more of Graham’s snaps.

Healthy Jace & Tonyan IMO make Jimmy dead weight...sadly until that occurs his body is needed....and he does have like one "awesome" catch a game it seems just to remind you and make you hope of what he once was.

A single still frame from that play is entirely disingenuous. The hand sliding across the facemask does not meet the criteria for "hands to the face". Further, the only hands to the face on the play was against Bak at the onset of the play. Granted, the Lions should have scored more TDs than FGs, but you can't deny the impact these calls had at the end of the game.
