You're right. There's at least two holds and various other rules violations in plays. The ones that are called are those that might have had an effect on the play or could have had an effect on a play. Sometimes even those get missed. As far as listening to the announcers I hear what they say and make my own determinations not really agreeing with them as much as one would think. But then again, it's just like out here on the site. We don't always agree but we don't throw anyone under the bus either. It's like when I listen to fans say that Al Michaels should hang it up, he's too old to be doing broadcasts. He's not perfect. Nobody is. But Al Michaels deserves special respect in the world of broadcasting. His words back in 1980 sparked a unity in America that was so breathtaking that to all of us watching that day could never forget. When Al said, "Do you believe in miracles?" Millions of Americans did and joined him in that perfect statement. So, if you don't like Michaels, that's a person's personal opinion. I do. I think he tries to stay unbiased and has been a quieter voice of reason in sports. As for Aikman and Buck, they do a decent job. But don't believe for a moment that Troy is going to forget he rose to fame as a Dallas Cowboy and as he's said numerous times in the past, the Packers were really his #1 nemesis. Don't expect him to worship at the feet of LeFleur and the Packers because it's not going to happen. So what? He is fairly knowledgeable and does know the game of football and offers valuable information at times. If you don't like what he says, forget he said it. I do. It makes it a lot easier enjoying a game when I don't get wrapped up in how I feel the announcers aren't giving my team enough respect. I make my own judgements.
