Studs: Gary had a great game Quay continues to look much improved Overall, the defense was excellent I was pleased to see Golden start to get more involved, and again in limited involvement I liked what I saw from Savion Duds: OL was getting dominated all day long and it didn’t seem to really matter who played where or who they lined up against. 6 different browns defenders had a sack or partial sack Love had one of those games where mentally he was just WAY off imo. The numbers weren’t bad but he was not having a good day in my view. A few boneheaded decisions (his pick, or I believe it was right at the end of 3Q taking the most bewildering snap) and generally seemed locked in pre-snap on one read a lot of plays. Finally, I said it a few weeks ago that I think that MLF has a bit of a reputation as a “soft” coach who isn’t prepared to get punched in the mouth and doesn’t know how to get his team to respond when that happens. We often seem to be kind of like “front runners” - if we can jump out early we do fine. Get into a slug fest and we often fold. Credit for the first two games but on the whole he hasn’t done much to dispel that reputation imo. We’re going into our 7th year with him and still asking when (if?) he’s ever going to be able to get his team playing disciplined and focused football in tough games…
