So RBs can get low outside of the tackle box and instead of using the top of the helmet as a weapon, they just need to look up and use the facemask as a weapon. Then in a couple of years when neck injuries are as prevalent as concussions, they’ll change the rule again.  • Somewhat lost in the crown of the helmet rule, they got rid of the ridiculous tuck rule. 12 short seasons after the Raiders got screwed they figured it out.  • Back in the olden days, NFL players had jobs in the off season to supplement their income.
