Message: <blockquote data-quote="Heyjoe4" data-source="post: 1059132" data-attributes="member: 13032">Wondering about a comment you made earlier about the continued growth (I hope) of Reed and Wicks.  For me, that raises two questions, 1) could either grow into a legit #1 WR? and 2) does that impact what the Packers do at WR this offseason?My answer to both is no.  Really like Reed and think he is the lt answer at slot WR.  Reed needs a true #1 WR so he can be left to play the slot on most passing downs.  Wicks needs to show he can catch the ball this year as well as he can get open.  He has great footwork and great route running skills.  Until he gets better at catching, he'll be a part of the WR group, but as a #3 or #4.  I hope he proves me wrong.As far as what Gluten does at WR (or probably has already done), I'm still holding out for either Metcalf, my first choice, or Slayton as a FA.  That's just my preference.  I'm just not crazy about bringing back Adams or MVS.  In this case, you can't go home again.I'm always interested in other ideas/suggestions.  And maybe Edge is more important and Gluten pulls off a trade for a guy like Hendrickson, who almost certainly has three good years left.  He looks better to me than Garrrett.  Can't have both Metcalf and Hendrickson, imo, so where is the greater need?  Open question gang, have at it.</blockquote>
