My brother in law, who is a huge bears fan, (which right there limits his credibility I know) was more than happy to let Amos walk because he wanted 9 million a year and he said there was no way he was worth that much. I think its another prime example of fans underestimating the market. 5-7 million isn't going to get you much of anything under the age of 28 nowadays. It might buy you a aging vet who is refusing to hang up his cleats but young guys with talent are going to be pushing 10 million from now on. That is a legit concern but I wouldn't say he was a product of playing alongside Jackson. Like Dantes said, I think its more of a case of any player benefiting from having other talented players around him. I almost said more talented players but realized there is a difference. Jackson is a flashy player who makes big plays and excites guys like my brother in law. Amos is a steady player who doesn't make the flashy plays but he doesn't screw up either. Is one more talented than the other or are they just equally talented with different abilities. I'd probably say the latter and I think either would be good ones to have.
