Ceremony To Take Place At 1 P.M. At New Facility; Public Invited

The Green Bay Packers will formally dedicate the new Ray Nitschke Field at a 1 p.m. ceremony Saturday, Aug. 1, prior to the team's first training camp practice on the new field.

Packers President/CEO Mark Murphy will lead the ceremony, which will take place on the field and include members of Ray Nitschke's family and local officials.

Members of the public are welcome to attend and gates will open at 12:30 p.m. The ceremony will begin at 1 p.m. with brief remarks from Murphy and others, followed by a ribbon cutting.

The Packers' first practice will then get underway at 2 p.m.

Nitschke Field promises to be a great addition to the training camp experience. The brand new facility offers the football team a state-of-the-art practice field and fans a safer, more enjoyable experience taking in practice.
