Two things he does very well that I like:

1. Recognizes the play quickly and reacts to get in run support or pass support position right away. This is huge for safeties.

2. Sure tackler. Converted 84% of his tackles in the open field.

I'm not 100% sure if he'll carry over that All-American ability to the NFL, but he's far away from potentially being a bust in my eyes. Solid pick TT!

Before you throw Ted another 'hey you're a great GM' party, look at this. These are stats the Auburn Tigers (One of the two college teams I root for and who run a spread offense) put up against your GM's (I refuse to acknowledge Ted as the GM of the team I root for anymore) #1 draft pick.

http://espn.go.com/blog/statsinfo/post/_/id/79429/auburns-miracle-return-wins-iron-bowl

And here is what Nick Marshall a run first QB put up against the same Defense. A QBR of 80, and 68% completion percentage according to:

http://scores.espn.go.com/ncf/boxscore?gameId=333340002

And in case those who usually bag on my posts forgot Colin Kaepernick is a MUCH better QB who runs the spread than the below average SEC QB Nick Marshall. Ted has drafted another first round bust folks. We should have 2 or 3 Superbowl victories in the 2010's we have 1. We should be the dynasty and we aren't. How long before you guys come around to the fact that Ted lost what he had?

What does a college football team have to do with the packers def?

So because the entire Alabama defense didn't play well against Auburn, Dix isn't a good player?

I'd prefer to look at the player himself and more than one game to evaluate a player.

The good news is it wasn't Pryor and it wasn't a guy who is a bad fit for this D (Perry, D. Jones).

The bad news is we couldn't get our guy for the front 7 and we did not get the best player available.

Is "D. Jones" Datone Jones? You think he's a "bad fit" for a 3-4? He's basically exactly what you want for a 3-4 DE.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! So who was the can't miss guy that dumb ol' TT passed on? I bet whoever this mystery man is, he never had a bad game and neither did the team he played for.

I actually think Bucannen will be better than Pryor and haha. I think haha will be a starter from day one but I think Buccanen is an impact player. Great ball skills and instincts and will blow you up . Shoulda took him at 21 and it wouldn't have been a reach. We got a safety so I'm ok with the pick...just ok. Please don't be a bust this defense already is suspect.

Philly fans were ready to behead me after we took him

Very much disagree. He was a 43 left end.

Also, we said TT isn't a BPA guy. BVA

How are we suppose to have a dynasty in the 2010s if TT is a terrible gm? All those hold overs from the Sherman era? Lol

Newsflash: That Auburn Offense made every defense they played last year look silly. They were ripping and shredding defenses left and right.

Im confident that Dix will be a great player for us. The guy is smooth, has great range, plays well around the line of scrimmage and tackles well. Hes also very comfortable playing the deep high safety and has the speed and range to cover well over the top and defend both sidelines very well.

Good pick, period.

Didnt you have bucannen listed for a # 2 round pick in a draft contest here? But now saying you would take him at 21?

You also had pryor in that contest higher than bucannen too??

Maybe I misunderstood ya, if so sorry!!
