Packers pro scout Glenn Cook leaving for Browns

Cook spent the last four seasons in the pro personnel department for the Packers. His responsibilities included evaluating both college and pro players, preparing advance scouting reports for future opponents and overseeing tryouts for throughout the year.

The Browns named him their assistant director of scouting.

I have to admit to not recognizing his name. However, I assume that since the Packers didn't decide to promote him that they felt he was replaceable.

That´s possible. The move leaves the Packers with only a single pro scout in Chad Brinker though so they will have to find a replacement for Cook.

Well, if there's a college scout they see having a future with the organization, a stint in pro scouting to round out the skill set would be in order. Or maybe just John Kuhn.

The Packers announced they have promoted Jon-Eric Sullivan to director of college scouting and hired former safety Charlie Peprah as a scouting assistant.
