Great memory. 1/4 barrels are what our friends would chip in on as teenagers. That or we’d just buy 2 or 3 cases for a smaller crowd. I always liked the Pony Keg I thought fir small gatherings that was effective use of $ Yeah you’re older than me. These are great memories that are being lost. Pains me to say I lost both parents just recently just days apart and they were both remarried so it’s not like they lived together. So Even stranger. I don’t like being without that generation they’re my heroes. Related I was just telling my wife (she’s 12 yrs younger) my first airplane flights to go visit my Dad in the early 1980’s there were people smoking on the plane! Built in Ashtrays in backs of seats. Those were soon replaced with TV’s or Trays. Just a different time when folks seemed to offer more common respect to each other even among our differences. So glad I tasted that generation of quality people. PS. I literally watched a guy who was smoking at customer service counter (Circuit City) go from minor verbal altercation about his cigarette to being full dosed with a large fire extinguisher! That white chemical dust went EVERYWHERE in that store! Like a sandstorm there was no way to stop it
