With an expensive choice, the Green Bay Packers traded up for Jason Spriggs, regarded by scouts as the last of the legitimate starting tackles in the draft. “I really wanted to make him a Packer,” Packers GM Ted Thompson said. “We felt like we were dancing with the devil if we waited too much longer.” In the third round, the Packers selected Utah State outside linebacker Kyler Fackrell.
