Part of the reason not many people play on the secondary is nobody else gets away with what they do in the secondary. That mild shoulder grab is a regular occurrence plus when your name is Richard Sherman. But everyone else gets flagged for an automatic 1st down while he gets praised for good defense

sea's model has spread across the league. they've shown the refs won't call it on every play, and ruin the game, so they take advantage of it. also...a 10 yard holding penalty is better than giving up a 15-20+ yard play down field.

Fair enough. But there needs to be more athleticism at the position now, if we're really going with these ISO routes.
