Coming into the game the Packers have allowed the least amount of points per game in the NFC and the second least in the entire in NFL at just over 15ppg. However, the main problem might not be containing Mike Vick, but getting a good flow of pass and run against an active Eagles defense. Mixed results the last few weeks and throughout the season have many Packers questioning whether this team is for real or not. To refresh your memory, the Packers beat the Eagles in Philly Week 1, shut out the Jets 9-0 a few weeks into the season and demolished there rivals, the Minnesota Vikings, at the metrodome. However, the Packers have lost games to the Dolphins at home, and the Redskins and Lions at their respective stadiums. In all these games defense never seemed to be the problem, surprisingly it was the supposed high powered offense powered by Aaron Rodgers and veteran wide out Donald Driver. Many analysts and TV personalities question the Packers game, and all I can say is, why? Ryan Grant was injured in the first game of the season and no replacement was signed or traded for. Then you might say, isn't that a problem then? Why would it be, the Packers managed a 10-5 record and made the playoffs beating out teams like Tampa Bay and the New York football Giants. James Starks is really coming to life and is providing a speed burst out of the back field. Add the power running combo's of John Kuhn and Brandon Jackson, the Packers should be fine considering there explosiveness out of the wide receiver core. Like I alluded to earlier, the Packers biggest strength is their pass game, we all know that. The Eagles have already lost a starting CB for the season, and opposite of him is banged up too. If your like me you have been watching Packers game all season just begging Aaron Rodgers to throw the ball. Expect the Packers to do that Sunday against the Eagles as they look for a big momentum burst to start the Playoffs. On the other side of the ball the Packers defense will be facing the most dangerous QB in the NFL, Mike Vick. If the Packers plan on stopping Vick they need to do exactly what the Vikings did a few weeks back, pressure pressure pressure. The last time these teams squared of Clay Matthews III injured starting QB Kevin Kolb by presenting him with pressure numerous times. Mike Vick has really improved in the passing game but if you can get him out of the pocket and throwing, you will create turnovers and opportunities for big plays. Expect for Charles Woodson to get countless hits on Vick coming off his weak side and Matthews there for the clean up.
