Players' 2009 Performances Will Be Recognized At Induction Banquet, July 17; Tickets Available

The Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame Inc. today announced that quarterback Aaron Rodgers and linebacker Clay Matthews will be honored with the Hall's awards for 'Most Valuable Player' and 'Rookie of the Year,' respectively, at the 40th Packers Hall of Fame Induction Banquet, to be held the evening of July 17, 2010, in the Lambeau Field Atrium. Mark Chmura, Marv Fleming and Greg Koch will be inducted at the event.

Rodgers started all 16 games for the second consecutive year and was voted to his first Pro Bowl following one of the most prolific seasons by a quarterback in franchise annals. The 27-year-old signal caller completed close to 65 percent (64.7) of his passes, became the first player in league history to throw for 4,000 yards (4,434) in each of his first two seasons as a starter and posted a sparkling 30:7 touchdown-to-interception ratio.
