Trying to compare playing styles and things of the like to a team from 20+ years ago is another thing entirely. Usually whenever I compare teams from one year or era to another, like for instance the 2011 Packers to the 2007 Patriots, none of the data you would be using to support your argument would be hypothetical. You have proven results to make the comparison. And you can use what actually happened on the field in terms of playing style to support your argument.
