The 49ers are first in the most important defensive stat, scoring. Kudos to them on that. If they meet the Packers in the playoffs we'll get to see a matchup of the number one scoring offense vs. the number one scoring defense. But how well do the 9ers defend the pass? They are 4th in opponents' passer rating at 74.9 (by comparison the Packers D is 10th at 79.8). The 9ers are 8th in opponents' completion percentage (Packers D is 15th). The 9ers have recorded just 3 more sacks at 29 than the Packers' D has so far.
