NFL Playoff Predictions Contest - Wildcard Week

The 2024 NFL regular season has ended and we head on to this new season with another picks contest. Thirteen games stretched over 29 days (starting Saturday) will determine this contest winner. Who will raise the Vince Lombardi Trophy on February ninth? Let's start things off with the upcoming wildcard games.

All are welcome to play. No regular season experience is necessary. Must have all of your picks in by Saturday 3:30 CST.

Rules
If you guess the correct individual team score, regardless of correct winner: 5 points each
Each game you pick the correct winner of: 15 points
If you pick correct winner on at least half the games scheduled for the week: 50 points
If you pick correctly on at least 66.66% (Wildcard Round) OR 75% (Division Round) of the games: 75 points
If you get all but one of the games correct: 100 points ** Only applies towards Wildcard Weekend
If you nail correct winner on all games: 150 points ** Only applies towards Wildcard & Divisional Round Games
If you guess both the correct winner and score of any game: 125 bonus points tacked on for each correct score.

Somehow I think the playoff Packers show up and the Packers win 31-24. I wish I felt better - but I feel about the same as I did before the Dallas game last year. Young(est) team, young and hungry, a lot to play for. And the new stars, from FAs Jacobs/McKinney to the rookie sensations Cooper/Evans really want this. They will be the ones to light a fire under Love and win this game. The most pressure comes from peers anyway.

Well, a young team can play like we did in Dallas last year. Or we can be a veteran team and look like we did in Atlanta a decade ago. Teams have to have leaders that step up and inspire the rest of the team to raise their level of play.

I shouldn’t have underestimated Houston. They just shellacked LA. The only thing I like about it is I don’t like the Harbaugh Brothers. At least 1 is eliminated.

The Texans are all over the place this year. I can’t figure them out. They get crushed by the Vikings 7-34 but then Beat the Bills 2 weeks later. Then get beat by the Jets. Then finish losing 2 of the last 3 including being humbled by the 3-14 Titans in Houston, followed by the Ravens 2-31. Then they come out and wallop a good 11-6 Chargers team? What in the world.
