Members of the committee proposed a two-week window where teams would be allowed to trade a veteran player. The period would start the day after the Pro Bowl and would have to be for a veteran player with time left on his contract. The reason for the new period is it allows teams to trade a player that the team would normally release due to a large roster bonus the first day of the new league year.</p></blockquote><p></p>
