If you want to try to balance things out as much as possible,  I'd consider keeping the rules as is except making the team that has first possession start at their own 10 yard line.  At the very least, I think teams would think long and hard about taking the ball first knowing that a sack,  turnover, or even 3 and out could potentially lose them the game.</blockquote>
