Week 7 is in the books, and our contest trudges into week 8. Voyaguer is still in the lead. It has been over five weeks since anyone has hit a score bingo. A score bingo could put a picker into the lead, or at least into the thick of the battle, but picking the scores seems tougher in 2024.

All are welcome to play, and good luck to all!

Guess the score of each team of each game...
Each game you pick the correct winner of: 5 points
If you pick correctly on at least half the games scheduled for the week earns a 20 points bonus
If you pick correctly on at least 75% of the games earns a 40 point bonus (plus the previous 20 points).
If you get all but one of the games correct nets 100 bonus points (plus the 20 & 40 from above)
Guess right on all the games and enjoy an additional 150 points (plus the previous 20, 40 & 100)
And ..... If you guess the correct winner and score of any game: 125 bonus points tacked on for each correct game.
If you've got incredibly mad skills and happen to guess every correct score of every game: you get a mega jackpot of 5000
points.

Choose the winners and game scores for the 16 games below.

Really? Thanks for the info. I thought once the byes started they had em every week until all teams were done. I don't see much sense in starting byes too early. I think everyone in the NFL North but the Packers have already had a bye, and a few weeks ago at that.

I think the Packers have a bye after the Jags and Lions, so like week 10. Like injuries, byes happen when they happen. I think most teams prefer later byes so they can get an extra week to rest and heal after a descent amount of playing time.

Anyway, the fact that there are no byes surprises me.

Yeah @Heyjoe4 it is a little odd. They’ve been doing that double header Monday night and I wonder if that impacted it? I suppose they could’ve just extended the start of the Bye weeks later also. Who knows. I’m sure it’s a mess trying to set that schedule trying to accommodate everyone

Yeah I wish these scores were reversed. As much as it pains me, the queens have a good team. There biggest weakness and strength is D. The D is very good but also very long in the tooth. The best way to beat them is to grind out first downs running. They will tire in the 2H faster than younger players.

Problem is that the Rams offense is missing too many players. So a win by the queens seems likely.

Both teams are playing on a short week. At least the Rams are home. Maybe hey lag will play a part. I'm reaching here......

Cupp was supposed to be back but the Rams front cannot handle the Vikings blitzes. Stafford cannot scramble like he once did. As smart as he is they have too much experience. The Ram D would have to play lights out. Not on a short week.

I didn't watch the game and just saw the score this morning. Well I'm as surprised as anyone that Stafford threw 4 TDs to 1 INT against that D. The only place I saw the Rams picked to win was one of the writers at CBS Sports.

Well a loss by the queens is always a good thing. They did get Nacua and Kupp back, but it was two other WRs I never heard of who caught 3 CDs total.

Who would have thought?
Hey!

Do you know why the Vikings are purple? Because they have been choking for over 60 years.

I saw Justin Jefferson rolling his eyes on the sidelines. Watching the defense from the bench in disgust. Slamming his helmet when the D gave up that last TD. This season will not end happily for them. When your star has no leadership and promoting a culture not of a cohesive team, you will never be champions.

It seems like I should have heard that "purple" joke before, but I haven't and it did crack me up. Thanks Amish.

And I didn't see the game or JJ slamming his helmet in disgust at his D, but yeah, that is not leadership. That's not even being a teammate. Even if the D players on the field didn't see it at the time, they'll see it on the news, and it's a bad look. And I'm guessing he wasn't doing that when the D was playing lights out the first 5 games.

Everyone has to stick together. It's fine to share frustration in private, but public displays like that take the spirit out of a team very quickly. Well that assumes there was a spirit there in the first place. And the HC has to nip that in the bud.

And there is a big difference between what JJ did, expressing frustration/anger with his teammates, and a player doing the same thing in disgust with himself.

(FWIW, this is why I'm glad Rodgers is gone. Especially later in his career and after a loss, he'd express his frustration with teammates without naming teammates. As for his sometimes poor play? He'd finally admit it and say something like he could play a "tick" better. In other words, it was everyone else's fault but his. He's doing it in NYC. And he would constantly roll his eyes or shake his head at a dropped pass or bad route. Every QB does this to some extent, but they also usually admit when they could play better. And the best leaders just take it all on themselves and spare their teammates any public humiliation. That's what a leader does imo.)
