Just Bears bein' Bears. It's not just incompetent and unprofesssional, it's downright sadistic. Why on Earth would they make that poor bastard go out and face the media (publicly defend himself and assure the press that he's sure his job is safe), and then two hours later announce that he's been fired? That's just cruel - they humiliated the man for no reason at all. One of two things got cluster****ed here - either they knew they were going to fire him and they let him go out and make an *** of himself on his way out the door, or they still hadn't made up their minds until the middle of the next day. Either way, they look like a clown show. I was telling you months ago that the real problem with that circus is that idiot GM and the ownership team that hired him, but you ridiculed that and swore that Poles is a a genius who's going to turn the whole franchise around. I predicted what was probably going to happen, and so far I'm 100% right on everything I said would probably happen (except that I thought it was likely Eberfluis would last the whole season). Your entire management structure is toxic and incompetent at every level. You've gone from "Super Bowl or bust" to "well, we'll just hire a better coach next year and everything will be spectacular." Who do you think is going to want to coach that disaster next year? There will probably be as many as 7 or 8 openings in January, and I'm not sure how many of the top candidates will be interested in a dumpster fire like Chicago. I sure wouldn't count on Ben Johnson; he's made it clear that he values organizational stability very highly, so it's very unlikely he'd want to be the next coach ground up and spit out all over the floor by Poles and the ownership. Especially after the way they humiliated Eberfluis.
