NFL 2021 Weekly Prediction Contest Week 1

Well, after a year of skipping out on this due to the COVID situation and all that, I decided it's time to get bring back the fun of the old weekly prediction contest. Our last winner I believe was @Poppa San in 2019, so if he rejoins he will be the one we are out to dethrone.

Now, rules will be mostly the same with just a slight change in how points are given to make things a little more Interesting.

So here's how it goes:

Earn points for guessing the correct winning team of each game, and you can also get bonus points if you guess the correct score along with that. But for a prediction of a specific game to count, it must be submitted before the official kickoff start time.

So here's the new points scoring system for this year

Each game you pick the correct winner of: 5 points

If you pick correctly on at least half the games scheduled for the week: 50 points

If you pick correctly on at least 75% of the games: 75 points

If you get all but one of the games correct: 100 points

If you nail it on all the games: 150 points


And ..... If you guess both the correct winner and score of any game: 125 bonus points tacked on for each correct score.

If you've got incredibly mad skills and happen to guess every correct score of every game: you get a mega jackpot of 5000 points


As you can see, the stakes are going up, should be a fun one this year.

Well 3 more minutes if anyone else wants to get all games predicted. Now again, if you miss tonight's kickoff you can still pick the remaining games, but only as high as 15/16.

Sloppy play thus far. What you’d expect from week 1 just looks disjointed. I’m very surprised Zeke hadn’t been involved in the short passing game in space. This Tampa team is good but also very beatable.

That was a pretty good game for an opener. El Guapo was very nearly correct, and the Cowboys did do better than I thought they would. Hopefully the Bucs defense gets gassed like that again next week.

Did you mean @Pkrjones? His 31-27 was 2 points off total.

Anyway. I just knew the Cowboys wouldn’t lay down. I only saw Brady touched 1 time (arm) and pressured maybe 3X? He has an insanely fast release and his 2.4 sec with over 9 yards average target tells me nobodies being challenged (the DB’s are playing off coverage or zone) at the LOS and letting WR roam free. Godwin and Gronk were left wide open most of the night. I would challenge those 2 more off LOS in the future.

I think that he meant that I predicted the Cowboys to upset the Bucs. Damn good game and they almost did. Dak played great, but I still question him taking that bad sack on the last drive.

That game could’ve went either way. Tampa was slightly better though imo. Dallas gave them a run that’s good.
