Some thoughts.... -on offense, the key for me will be the offensive line, specifically how well they pick up the blitz.Watching on good morning football Scott Pioli pointed out how Adams was wide open downfield for touchdowns but Rogders didn't have time to get it to him because the line screwed up their blitz pickups. This part of the game will be huge. Yes, running the ball effectively will be huge but keeping mistakes to the minimum and keeping the Bucs off balance instead of the other way around will also go a long way in deciding who wins. -on defense they must get pressure on Brady and hit him, most importantly getting good pressure up the middle. I'm hoping Pettine doesn't just play laid back and play it safe all day and let Brady and company do whatever they please. -yeah the defense has been better but I still don't know if I'm confident in them in a big spot. -everybody raving about the Bucs, but have they really been that impressive? Won by one score in a game that was close at the end against a so so Washington team playing with an inexperienced backup quarterback. Needed the Saints to pretty much hand them the game last week. Just take one turnover away- the Cook fumble which would have given them a first down inside Tampa's 45 with a seven point lead-and I think the Saints win. This despite no passes of more than 20 yards by Brees. T here were times the Bucs looked like they had 11 guys on the line because they knew they weren't getting beat deep. -lots of talk about the Bucs running game, but on NFL Network while they were bragging about it they followed that up by saying they only averaged 3.6 yards a carry. It's all there for the taking fellas. You just got to want it more and execute.
