He had the perfect voice for announcing games and I was so thankful he was doing the Packer games. He was the one announcer who could carry a game alone back when there wasn't a second man in the booth. He must have had reams of notes sitting nearby because he never let dead air exist for a moment and when he brought something up it was really in tune with the situation and insightful.He may have been a "homer" when it came to the Packers, but he carried a wealth of knowledge with him about other teams, players, and their offenses and defenses. He never let us down with a broadcast.</blockquote>
