Another thing that’s more significant in team roster impact than its being given credit. Thats the retirement of Detroit’s Center, Frank Rignow. Detroit just lost 20 years of experience between RG and OC. Both being Starter + level (Zeitler) to All-Pro 2 level (Rignow) are 2 punches that both landed and stunned Detroits jawbone. The only advantage is it didn’t happen like losing Bak happened to us during end of season without time to react. It’s still significant to lose one of the best OL on your team though. While Detroit should get Dan Skipper back, they could have THREE new position changes on their OL in 2025. They are listing: Christian Mahogany at LG (75 career snaps) Tate Ratledge at RG (0 NFL snaps) *drafted #57 overall, 2025 Detroit was fortunate to sign Graham Glasgow back from Denver. Now Glasgow was a #95 overall pick by Detroit who did play 1 year at Center before going to Denver and mostly played Guard in Denver with C backup duty. He played LG last year but is the most obvious choice at Center. He’s a good Starter, but he’s not Frank Rignow either. That means they regressed slightly at Center and have moved 2 new players at both Guard spots. Now I’m not suggesting they’ll crumble, but if I’m MLF I’m testing that interior with the same intensity that Love got last year multiplied by 2. Goff better be ready to release that ball in 1.9 sec or faster because Im stunting those 3 spots with everything I have game 1. Im playing full court press and jamming WR and TE using my strength at Slot and SS and coverage LB’s to greet the screen behind LOS. Those interior Detroit players will see more Pass Rush than they’ve seen in their collective lifetimes starting Play 1 Game 1 Quarter 1 we set the tone for 2025 by giving those 3 interior Detroit Players absolute fits. Then I’ll bringing my best Pass Rushers in fresh to start Qtr2. It Detroit was uneasy in the stomach coming into GB, it’ll be much worse trying to scramble to make Halftime adjustments.
