Looking at GB post draft and with positive news on Alexander. Which positions group is definitively going to be worse? I don’t see one. If I’m playing Super Devils Advocate, I see at most a slight tick back at LB or DT only to unknowns with personnel changes (Wilson m/Slaton). That said the Packers didn’t ignore those positions either. GB didn’t add 1 LB, they added former native Kristian Welch, who was a standout in Preseason last year and had a stint with Baltimore. Then we signed Isaiah Simmons from FA and 5th Rounder, Colin Oliver through the Draft. Let’s not ignore we still have Hopper in the shadows from Round 3 last year. The Packers have options at LB (6). Should be an interesting Roster battle at LB. Plus Edgerrin was twice DPOWeek and finished 6th in Rookie voting in just 500 snaps. Once he got healthy he was part of a D group that stifled teams down the stretch. The Packers held Barkley to 4.65 yards per carry. That would rank as Barkley 6th lowest total across 21 contests in a historical season. At DL we drafted TWO Georgia DT’s A 6th Rounder with 5th Year Senior Warren Brinson plus a highly sought after UDFA Interior plugger in Stackhouse. Add that GB quietly signed one of the better DL coaches in the NFL away from The Patriots.
