I am one of the locals who can help you with any Info you need about Lambeau Field& Green Bay. I noticed your posting yesterday morning and gathered some Info, which you need to know, if you are coming to G.B. I will do it in in a series of seperate posting as one would be too long. First of all G.B. is the smallest city in major league sports. That presents on big problem concerning hotel rooms. During the regular season season, the rooms are taken almost as soon as the Packer's home schedule is announce. it is not quite as bad as that for pre season games, but the problem is still there. When 70,000 people head for Lambeau Field( many come in from everywhere) into a City Metro area of 240.000, there are not enough hotels to take care of the demand. So some have to book rooms in surounding cities like Oshkosh, Appleton, Neenah, Sheboygan, Manitowoc and other smaller cities which are 1/2 hr to 1 hr driving time from G.B. on 4 lane I or State hiways. Tickets to pre season games are plentiful and are much more reasonably priced than regular season games, but Lambeau Field has been sold out since 1960. Tickets are only available through Ticket Brokers or from individual fans. Some advertise in The Green Bay Press Gazette either to buy tickets to go to the game or to sell tickets. Scalpers sell tickets to the game in certain area east of the stadium in front of old Arena just right across Oneida St from Lambeau. No one can sell tickets in Lambeau Field parking lot. I understandPolice are really going to enforce law and make them sell tickets in that area described above. Sometimes people will sell tickets for face value especially during Pre season when the ticket demand is low!! You should be able to get better seats than the End zone for rather good price for Patriots game, if it was packerswere playing the Vikings, Bears, or Cowboys during the regular season demand would be high. You would take what you can get and whatprice you can get it for. Look for my next posting on Hotels!!
