I just added a new skin to PackerForum.com. I made the newer one the default skin, but you can still chose between the older one if you like. Just scroll down to the bottom of the page, and on the left, you will see a link that says Packers Light, just above the About Us text. Click on that and it will show you this skin and the older skin(Packer Forum Full Screen).

Nice new look, well done! Love that the chat box is stretched out, much easier read!

I still miss the "New Posts to threads you are watching" and would gladly see it back up and replace to "New Profile posts". However, I did just notice something similar on my tab bar

All in all....well done Shaggy! Thank you.

Sorry. I haven't looked into it yet, but I will.

Like the new look. More crisp and modern.

Only feedback (not a criticism) is that this looks more green and less gold. A lil bit of gold contrast may make this better.

Love this look more than the old one anyway.

.

Also noticed that we have a 'related sites' links at bottom when browsing on phone and has links to lots of truck forums? Ford, Chevy, Ram...and a preferred vendor link? How are they related to this site?

i noticed this also, there used to be links to another couple of NFL team forums, maybe bolt talk is no longer affiliated with this site in any way.

but yeah, if we need different links there, could it not be maybe the likes of pornhub or the likes? :whistling::whistling:;);)

I own several auto forums and the footer was basically copied over. I need to replace the links still.

I like the idea of some gold sprinkled in somewhere. Gold is hard to see on a white background, so I need to see where it can go without causing issues.

A suggestion would be to have gold as font color on the dark green patches.
Or make the player profile that appears to left of every post have Gold background.

Didn't even realize there are truck fans, far less forums for them. The Chevy forum looks active as well.

Really? You really think there aren't people out there that are fans of their cars/trucks?

There are forums for everything. There's a forum for kitchen knives and soap making.

I love my car, but I ain't posting in a Honda forum. So was surprised. Looks like the more 'macho' vehicles have a active forum.

Something learnt!

I used to chat in a lawnmower forum LOL. That last about 2 weeks, while I sought expert and not so expert opinions on how to fix my Zero Turn. I actually learned a lot, but there is only so much time that one can spend in a lawn mower forum before you feel like you are going in circles.

I joined 3 truck forums when looking to buy a truck a full year and a half before buying just to see what people were complaining about LOL Plus I saved about 4K with a pretty sound buying strategy I learned over the "best" price i could get out of any dealer around here. But I don't go there anymore either.

I joined a mini van forum after 3 trips to a mechanic couldn't fix our AC problem and fixed it myself. But i'm not longer active there.

I joined a lawnmower forum too 3 years ago when buying a mower, haven't been back since until this year as we're buying another lot and trying to figure out what i'm going to have to spend to get something to mow the slope that is on it. the ZTR is doable, but it sucks.

15 years ago I was on a bunch of dog training forums. Those had to be the worst. I thought they were great then I realized it was all people that had read something about training and propped themselves up as experts, over the years I've met most of them and their dogs LOL Needless to say I don't go there anymore either.

I've had to wade thru a lot of ******** to find the useful stuff, but I have found a pretty good use for most of them at one time or another.

There are guys whose hobby is restoring old lawn mowers, then selling them. I sold a broken down antique wheel horse to one of those guys. It's amazing what they do with them after they get their hands on them. I looked them on the wheel horse forums.

Nope, not just for the macho cars/trucks. There are plenty of active Honda forums out there too. ;)

I bet if you were to just think of a car and search for "car name" forum, there will be an active forum about said car. There's even a decent forum for the death trap Smart car.....yep, just looked it up and i see 2 decent sized forums.

Like I said, there's a forum made for just about everything.

Someones junk is another mans treasure. When I first started a business, I bought a very old beat up 5' x 8' utility trailer that someone must have built in the 60's. After owning it for several years, it was on its last legs, I was in a parking lot and a guy walked up to me and said "would you sell me that trailer, the tailgate on it is exactly what I need for an old truck I am restoring." It was an old beat up, rusty tailgate from a Chevy truck. I told him I couldn't sell the trailer, because I needed it for my business and couldn't afford buying another one. He said "How about this, give me the dimensions of the trailer you want, I will build you one and trade it for that tailgate. I made the deal, got an awesome new solid hand built trailer with a drive-up ramp and he got his tailgate. For all I know that tailgate was rare and worth a lot more than a new trailer, but we both got what we wanted and needed.

EDIT: LOL I didn't add the link when I typed "Chevy Truck"....must be a feature of the new formatting of the site. :)

Double Edit: "Chevy Truck" is no longer linked....Shaggy you been busy?

do you think there's a forum about forum's?
I think there is one in Penthouse. The letters always started out "I thought I would never be writing a letter to the forum" That is usually when I heard a knock on the bathroom door, so I never finished any of the articles, but I assume they were about forums? :whistling:

When I change theme to the full screen one, the red text font on the yellow banners for the subfora is not at all easy to read. Increase the size, use bold, change the color? I don't recall the previous versions being difficult. I haven't visited on my mobile yet to see any issues with that.
