So sorry to read that you lost your Grandpa.

You are so right to remember the good times, and I'm sure you are thankful that you had such a good friendship. Be gentle with yourself - it will take time to adjust, and you will always miss him. He has given you so much, and is so much a part of the person you have become.

    Take care.

    Chris

I wish there were magical words that would make the pain go away, but i know no such words exist. You have my sincere sympathy.

It's not easy, but hang in there and hold onto the good memories.

My Grandpa was the family repair man. Whenever something needed to be fixed, he would be right over. The best part is we didn't have to pay him for it, we just had to feed him. One thing I saw a few minutes ago was a picture of him as a kid that had to have been taken atleatst sometime in the 1920s.

Back in the old days, you either knew how to fix things yourself, or you would barter with others to get things done. Today you have to be licensed in everything or risk getting in trouble,

    Thanks everybody!

The wake is tomorrow from 2-9 PM. Then on Saturday morning, his body is being taken up to Wisconsin for the funeral and to be burried. Wisconsin is where he grew up and his grave is right next to my Mom's mother's grave.

I'm sad to hear about it Dabear....but Mourn because you will miss him,not because he is dead. We all have opinions of religion but he is with the lord now and God will do with him what is in Gods will
