Sorry Frank ... music didn't exist in the 90's. Yep, music skipped an entire decade.

    Buggy,
I was a few days ago.... didn't compile that today.
Today was at the Doc for a hernia... CT scan next.
Might be more bored in a few days after possible surgery. Then might get to the 80's super hits and one-hit wonders.

It can't always be Packers..... hell our best guys are hurt.

Sorry to hear about the hernia Frank, hope you recover from the surgery if necessary. I`m laid up with Sciatica at the moment, so I understand the boredom thing only too well.
Enjoy Christmas though, and hope you`re back on your feet soon ;).

P.S. I was only pulling your leg :)

The offspring have no business being on a 1 hit wonder list. They may not have a grammy but the had quite a few hits.

my friends The Gufs had a big hit in the 90's

    Smile

Rock Band also made Smile part of their play list??? There is a video of it, but I dont own Rock Band so not sure? Video for RB is funny, because they look nothing like that nor do they have a lady drummer..

they also had another Crash (into me) (before Dave Matthews had his)

They toured with Matchbox 20 for a while, Rob Thomas loved one of their songs so much he asked to sing back up on it

    Give back your self

One of my tellers back then was a huge fan of the Gufs . One of the joys of being an old guy is watching kids get pi$$ed when you're making a point of picking on the latest musical 'thing' that they're into. Anyway, I'd always find SOME way to bring them into conversation and refer to them as "The Goofs". Heh heh heh ... she was so cute when she was pissed off. Anyway, she, of course, went back and did a little investigating on some of the music that I said I liked (wasn't always true...I'd give her some name just to make her go and find some "ragging material".

Anyway, that's just me being a miserable bastige.

Unfortunately, I don't see her anymore... loved that kid - just a lot of fun. Unfortunately, time and people move on you know? Last I heard, she's actually employed at UW hospital in Madtown... anyway, she also introduced me to The Onion .... used to save all of her copies and bring them home for me - couldn't get them in the Fox Valley. Thanks for the offerthough. That's decent of you.

Thanks.... actually, I also have Sciatica...... hip, tailbone, pain shoots down my right leg. Runs in my family. I think thousands of hours on concrete tennis courts and basketball court must have sped that thing up.

Hernia is not a sure thing, he set me up with a CT scan.

Any of you remember that Tumbthumping song by Chumbawumba?
That was the big hit of 1997.
One thing I will always remember regarding it is when my buddy and I went down to the Packers at Tampa Bay game in Nov of 1997, while we were reigning champions and on top of the world, that song would play at the game every time the Bucs would have a big play, which wasn't a lot as we had a good defense then.

It was the last year of the old stadium there.
We won, and there were tons of Packer fans as always, and their QB Trent Dilfer was so mad afterwards in interviews about the fact that there were so many Packer fans.

    Great times.

"I get knocked down, I get up Again, You're never gonna keep me down....."

Awesome song and I still remember it because of the World Cup 1998 in France. It wasnt the official WC song but they played it every time on TV when they aired a game. So this song always reminds me of the 98 WC. Song was also used for the EA Sports 98 WC Soccer game that I played a lot these days.

"Tubthumping" brings back very happy memories for me. My late wife and I were on holiday in Scotland with good friends of ours. Everytime it came on the radio, four 35 to 40 year olds would turn up the radio full blast, and sing our hearts out, then nearly crash the car through laughing so much.....lol Happy days !!!

tubthumping, got very tired of this very quickly, got played and played and played from everything on every radio stations to tv shows and as nessie said, the 98 cup du monde
