I honestly have no more Defense of situational play calling. I can’t stand how we get fancy needing 4 yards with 2 tries for a 40 yard FG. With 2 free try rollout for a TD or throw it away. packers 3-0. Instead we give up the free TD try or give up 3pts or both! Worse yet we hand the ball back at midfield! Instead? We try to get fancy and dial up a longer pass and take -9. This must be the 8th maybe 10th time we’ve done this inside 1-2 seasons. I recall ONE time it was successful out of like 9 situations. It ended up 7 points. We missed at minimum 7-8 tries at 3pts ALL within a 50 yard FG try. That potentially 24 points traded for 7 points. Would anyone trade me their 24 dollars for my $7? In low scoring games? TAKE THE POINTS AND ELIMINATE YOUR OPPONENT FROM SEEING THE BALL. GB was super fortunate to get out of self caused trouble AGAIN. Every other time we either invited our opponent to sack us for -7,-8-11 and negate a FG. OR we just turn the ball over. Not only negating points but giving our opponent ANOTHER free chance with the ball. Secondly at the end of games, we have no plays for 1 yard?? For a game like this?? That should be a 60%+ probability and if you miss? It should be a measurement or booth decision. Why would you call a play behind the LOS?? might as well do a double reverse and lose -15 yards! We can’t even get 1 yard. When playoffs come if you can’t get 1 yard in 4th down plan on getting bounced. That situation comes up at minimum 2-3 times or more in postseason. When Tucker was here he was 100% 3/3 for 1st downs. They STILL ignored him for 1 yard!! unacceptable not to have any answer for 1 yard.
