Parsons appears to be everything that we expected. I'm not going to dig up the stats, someone else can if they feel. The announcers keep saying that he is among the league leaders in QB pressures. He now has a few sacks to pad his stat line. Most importantly, he's making plays when the team needs him most. Against Dallas, he got enough of Dak Prescott to prevent a TD run - essentially saving us from a loss. In Arizona, he got critical sacks to derail the Arizona offense in the 4th quarter.

He seems to have that Reggie White / Clay Matthews ability to make a splash when the team needs it most. That is the kind of player that a team needs to win championship games. I hope that it comes true.

Parsons and Gary are now Tied at 5.5 Sacks. For 6 game teams that’s an internal tie for 1st Place with both entries Packer player (both pacing 15.5 Sacks each)
Overall the only players who are clearly ahead by at least 1+ Sack are Brian Burns (9) Byron Young (9) and Nick Bonnito (8) in 7 games.

Micah is tied with Garrett at #8 for Pass Rush Win Rate. Both Micah (8th) and Van Ness (19th) crack the top 20 PRWR.

I read somewhere that there is no “official” NFL stat on Pressures. However I had done the math on Parsons extrapolation. 104 QB pressures would smoke Jared Verse’s NFL leading 88 pressures across the 2024 season.

PS. Shout out to Karl Brooks!
His Pressure rate ranked tied at #6 in the NFL on a per snap basis. All 5 players ahead of him are household named. Jeffrey Simmons, Calais Campbell, Chris Jones, Carter, etc.
Brooks has consistently become an extremely efficient Pass Rusher.

And Trey Wingo reports that Jerry Jones (not content to make just one stupid trade all year) is trying to make a deal for Maxx Crosby to replace the perfectly good Micah Parsons that he practically gave away a few months ago. :roflmao:

I heard that Micah himself gave a big shout out to Brooks, saying that it was his best game and that he was the reason that Micah was able to have his best game. Funny how everyone playing great is a multiplying effect. :whistling:

I don't think dallas gave us Micah. I think it's more in line with you just don't let those kind of players go. Now that said, maybe a team like oakland would trade Crosby because they are too far away from anything meaninful.

I don't want to jinx things, but we haven't heard any hint of locker room problems regarding Parsons that I'm aware of. So far, I like his attitude, a lot. And he's playing pretty good, too. :)

Reports I’ve seen are their FO emphatically claim that they are not parting ways with Crosby. That said I suppose if someone gives them a stupid offer who knows.

I feel that this game is still a team effort and M. Parsons is a expensive piece of the defense
which seems to be working.
There's just so much $$$$ to go around to build a team on both sides.

On the other side of the ball, if the offense doesn't start putting these
games away early in the first half, we'll be lucky to make the playoffs.

If we continued to win as we have been we will be in the playoffs lol

I don’t think anyone is expecting to finish 15-1-1. I think having Micah gives us a very high floor on Defense. I could definitely see GB win 2 of the next three games. 6-2-1 type thing. Even at .500 the rest of the way they’d likely be in playoffs. I suspect GB can finish 11–5-1 area. Thats with tougher schedule. Very good team

The Cowboys opted to find a Micah Parsons in a draft pick mystery box.

Jerry should try and get Crosby. Why not? The Raiders are not going anywhere.
I’ve read (for what it’s worth) that the Raiders have publicly stated they Crosby is not being traded. I’m assuming they were getting offers and that initiated that statement. Similar to what Matt said about Doubs when asked if they were considering trading. He said “he’s not going anywhere”

Raider Nation would never let the Raiders live it down.
