MEL KIPERS DRAFT GRADES

    We did reach a little on the second day, but hey it was second day picks they are all the same :p

    im with ya... its never a reach when your talkin about the second day... no busts really.

    Kiper's analysis (along with anyone other sports writer really) at this point is based on where a player was projected and where he was taken. A team gets a higher grade with players selected well after they were projected. Since TT reached on day 2 with a couple picks, he did poorly on those picks according to the analysis.

    Of course the real draft grade should be given about 2 or 3 years later. So today the draft evaluation should be for 2003 or 2004 -- how many players still on the roster? How many starters? Contributions?

    Of course that's not as much fun and grading what just happened the past couple days.
