I don't read anything in there that says he's a low character person either, I think it shows quite the opposite. But then i've learned the some people actually like Pepsi and drive Chevys too, so... I get the impression that Murphy isn't Mr. Personality. Not that he doesn't have any, because i've seen him joke around and show some, but when it comes to things like this he does seem like the type that either just has to get it over with rather than have it hanging around. Figured he made the decision, just do it. and while fired is fired and i think the ending was written after that game, it wouldn't have killed anybody to wait until the next day. It wouldn't have made any difference to tell Mike he was being replaced, you can go home to your family or finish out the season. Joe wasn't going to replace him, so I don't buy the notion of giving him a chance to get the job. Maybe? But I don't really believe so. and there really is no benefit in keeping someone around once you've made the decision to fire him, and he was still getting paid, so it's not like they tossed him on the streets with a kick in the ***. But it is kind of a bad look when you fire someone in that way. It's like they couldn't wait to get rid of him and I think that's a bad way to go about replacing one of your winningest coaches who has brought a lot of success for quite a while. It's not like they knocked on his door and he was nose deep in hookers and cocaine one day.
