McCarthy's contract

Has anybody heard any details of the contract. I heard it was a three year deal but I didn't catch any other details.

Isn't a three year deal kind of short for a new coach? I know they can extend it after a year or so if he is moving in the right direction. I guess being a 42 year old newbie doesn't get you that guaranteed 5 year deal.

It says in this article that McCarthy took more money instead of a longer term contract for less/year.
