Killing the buzz.
Zombo deserved some sort of punishment for that hit. I get being aggressive, but blasting the other team's QB in the head helmet-to-helmet style can't be encouraged.

You guys would be saying the same thing if Urlacher did it to Rodgers.

Hehe, awesome!
Sucks for rookies but not the stars who do whatever they want cause a fine isn't going to stop them :X

The NFL is putting safety above football way too far.. Helmet to helmet? Facemask's? Why not just take the helmets back off..

That Penalty was ********. Zombo did not intentional try and ram his helmet into Cutler.

Zombo takes a hit -- in the wallet

Sep 30, 2010 -- 5:42pmGREEN BAY – Perhaps, since Mike McCarthy didn’t have a problem with linebacker Frank Zombo’s helmet-to-helmet hit on Chicago quarterback Jay Cutler on Monday night, the Packers coach will pick up the tab for the $7,500 fine Zombo received from the NFL for the roughing-the-passer personal foul penalty he received.

Zombo, who learned on Wednesday that he will start his second straight game at right outside linebacker Sunday against Detroit, found out Thursday that he’ll be $7,500 lighter in his wallet because of the hit.

Perhaps......Since Mm didnt like the flag...He will pick up the fine

The reporter worded very odd, should have went like this

Since Mike McCarthy didn’t have a problem with linebacker Frank Zombo’s helmet-to-helmet hit on Chicago quarterback Jay Cutler on Monday night, PERHAPS he will pick up the tab

yeah.

Super sketchy reporting if you ask me with wording like that.

I know Zombo is quoted as saying Greene offered to pay some of it, but im pretty sure thats illegal and Zombo didnt realize its not allowed, and was suppose to be kept hush hush. Things they dont tell undrafted FAs is my guess.
