did you like it when MM was asked,
you guys are 14 million under the cap, do you think the team should have brang in an experienced RB?
MM did a vinny bobarino imitation, Who, what, huh?
many feel that green got this huge deal, but damn, i think 6 million towards green would've gone along way this season. we still would have been 8 million under the cap.
good job TT. Let's see how that one works out for the Packers!
Last year, McCarthy said that the onus would be on the WRs to do something after the catch, and that's the way they (WRs) would gain most of their yards.
Our WR group consisted of an all-pro in Driver, a rookie in Jennings, an injury prone Ferggy, and a player cut twice by the WR lacking Chargers in Martin.
Even the most optimist of peoples would have wondered how on earth can you expect a group like that to produce a lot of yards after catches.
At the end of the season, the Packers were second in yards after a catch, with New Orleans being first.
McCarthy consistently said "I'll put my guys in a position to make plays, they just have to make them".
McCarthy implies as much again in this interview. He talks about choosing plays well suited to exploit the scheme the opposing D runs.
McCarthy has talked about it (the O) all starting up front with the o-line doing there jobs. He's going to call the plays where the o-line will be successful in opening lanes and B-Jack will be able to exploit them.
It seems like a difficult task right now, but based on history, McCarthy will always put his players in a position to make plays. B-Jack is currently a player for McCarthy, so you have to believe he'll be put in positions to make plays.
Wait until the season actually starts and the running game struggles before criticizing like you are.
