Even Mike McCarthy admitted feeling momentarily alarmed when he heard Brett Favre question his own desire to have the game in his hands in the final minutes.

McCarthy, the Green Bay Packers’ new coach, watched Favre’s interview with ESPN on Monday morning while running on a treadmill. At one point, Favre said that on some days he thinks there’s no way he can retire, but then, “There’s other days I go, ‘What if it’s crunch time — do you want the ball? I don’t know if I do.’ And that’s the things I have to sort out now.â€

Amen!!! If Favre has tools around him, he can still play as a top 5 QB in this league at 36. The questions now remain: does he want to do that? will the Packers get him some weapons to work with starting with the O-Line?

Damn, what I wouldn't give to be in Mississippi when Mccarthy meant with Favre. To see Brett coming out of the woods from cutting down trees, and then watch the 2 sit on Brett's porch and drink a couple beers and talk football.

This article really makes me look at Mccarthy as more of a human. I don't know if it is because he is in contex hangin out with Favre, but I really like MM a little more now.

to much reading into what brett said, maybe at that moment that is how he felt that was sunday this is thursday,we all tend to change or minds on jobs, and even though he plays in the nfl and likes to play the game isnt it more fun to play when you have your best guys out there with you, like in school when you picked people to be on your team you always picked the ones you knew would help you win,and i'm sure with brett there are more stressing issues right now than comming back for another year, but that is my hope.another year at least
