I dont know much about Marcus Pollard but i know he was pretty darn good in Indianapolis...

Would he be a good fit for the Packers to potentially pick him up?

He is 35 years of age, and I'd imagine he's lost a step or two.

He had 500+ yards receiving a couple of years ago, but he got beat for the starters job this year which isn't all that confidence building.

I agree he is getting older and his talent is declining I think he is done with the NFL.

Remember another TE that came to GB in the twilight of his career, played big in spot rolls to another TE. Even though they are different players, Pollard is more of a 10 to 15 yard receiver than the stretch the field type that Jackson was. At 35, his career isn't over, just a different type of player now. He was a very good recieving TE for Manning and company. But that doesnt mean he fits into the Packers plans:)

I rather sign Eric Johnson if we're going to go out and sign an older guy. He's worked with McCarthy before.

I agree that Eric Johnson would be a good pickup, but he really has issues with being able to stay on the field, always nicked up.
