Veteran fullback Nick Luchey, who was drafted by the Bengals in 1999 and spent the first four seasons of his pro career in Cincinnati, signed a one-year contract. The signing fills the roster spot opened when tailback Kenny Watson was placed on the injured reserve list Monday with a torn biceps. It also gives the Bengals four running backs and a physical player with special teams experience. The Packers released Luchey (6-2, 273), who has played in 72 career NFL games, on Sept. 6. In 16 games with Green Bay last season he rushed for 24 yards on 10 carries and caught two passes for 20 yards. The Bengals also released rookie linebacker Derek Curry from the practice squad. Rookie offensive guard Jonathan Clinkscale was then added to the practice squad. Clinkscale (6-2, 315) signed with the Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent in April, and played in the team [/QUOTE]
