We traded Javon to Denver for the 37th pick (2nd round) in the draft and turned around and traded that along with a 139th pick (5th round) to Atlanta for the 47th overall pick (2nd round), 93rd overall pick (3rd Round), and 148th overall pick (5th round).

We took Daryn Colledge with the 47th pick
We took Ingle Martin with the 148th pick

We traded the 93rd pick (3rd round) we acquired from Atlanta to St. Louis for their the 109th overall pick (4th round) and 183rd overall pick (6th round).

We took John Jolly with the 183rd pick

We took the 109th overall pick (4th round) we acquired from St. Louis and traded it to Philadelphia for their 115th overall pick (4th round) and 185th overall pick (6th round).

We took Will Blackmon with the 115th pick
We took Tyrone Culver with the 185th pick

So in essense, we traded Javon Walker for Daryn Colledge, Will Blackmon, Ingle Martin, John Jolly, and Tyrone Culver.

Was it a worthwhile trade in your mind considering Javon was probably never going to play for us again?

WOW...that was a blockbuster deal...hopefully KC will do the same with LJ...they keep denying it...which is why they floated out the "idea" two months ago...go figure...go PACK!!!

of course it was worth it...we got players that made the rorster and did start for the team..When we would have had to pay a guy not to play.

Let's not try and start a debate whether we traded Javon for only a second round pick or whether we traded him for five picks, I think we all realize it is a dead issue.

I'll say no, it was not.

Martin, Blackmon, Jolly, and Culver started a total of zero games for us.

Do they have potential, well yeah. But potential alone doesn't win you football games.

Colledge may turn out to be a great LG, but it is clear that he struggled at times last season. He certainly isn't a playmaker.

What the Packers needed was a playmaker, someone who could bolster their red zone O. Walker could have done that. Colledge/Martin/Culver/Jolly/Blackmon didn't.

In light of the circumstances though, it is a deal that had to be made. Still doesn't mean it was a good, even fair, deal.

Would it have made any of you feel better if we had taken Jennings with the 47th pick and Colledge with the other 2nd rounder? Let the old lie already.
