Those of you who want to crucify the writer of this piece forget 1 important factor. We as fans should want what is best for this team every year. For 2008 and 2009 Favre proved to be a better quarterback by winning more games. For those 2 years Favre was better.

It's interesting to note that the Packers (880) combined to score more points in the 2008 and '09 than the teams Favre (875) was on during those two seasons.

Additionally, looking at 2008:

Rodgers:

62.9 QBR
93.8 passer rating
28 TD's
13 INT's

Favre:

43.4 QBR
81.0 passer rating
22 TD's
22 INT's

Now, Favre had a better statistical season in 2009 than Rodgers, but it wasn't an astronomical difference.

When favre went out vs dallas and rodgers stepped in, Rodgers out performed Brett.

Did that mean Rodgers was better?

THAT NIGHT? YES! And honestly that was the first time I saw that Rodgers could be worth a damn!

The defense was mostly to blame for the Packers winning only six games during Rodgers first season as the starter though.
