Kirby Puckett Passes

    Just saw on the news that Kirby Puckett has died, God bless Kirby and His Family. :cry:

    I was upset to hear about that. I was a Blue Jays fan until the players cancelled the '94 World Series, and Puckett was one of their toughest opponents. RIP.

    We may have a lot of rivalries with the people of Minnesota. We cheeseheads have our thoughts and prayers with them.

    All my family is from the MN, WI, ND area. I grew up in Tx and my dad liked all the teams from those states. I had the luxury of choosing any of those teams. As much as Favre helped me become a Packer fan, Kirby did so with the Twins.

    The two are similar in many ways, most of which is their love and respect for the game and how they played the game "the right way".

    Kirby will be missed deeply by many. For anyone who's interested, I haven't found a better written piece about his death than Twins blogger Bat Girl. Seth also has a nice collection of articles on his site.

    This is a sadd day. Kirby was always fun to watch.

    Man.....i was shocked when i heard this on the news. Only 44.......same age my Dad was when he died. You always think an athelete will live a long time.......Kirby and Reggie, two sad endings.

    very sad, but being an athlete can be hard to your body if you aren't properly built for it.
