He was expected to make the eagles roster as a backup. We liked him in 2022 and had him in for predraft visit. Clearly Gutekunst wanted to booster the depth at O line. There is injury concerns with banks walker Jenkins etc. that likely means Jennings and Telfort are odd men out. It’s a pick in 6th in 2027 and he will be a restricted FA with the tender at 3.4 mil. It’s a good depth pickup for cheap costs. IMO I’ll take anyone from the eagles O line lol

Maybe we can win some scrums ourselves. 6th rounder in 2027 may not even make the team. Clearly, Gute wants to have a running game and improve our short yardage results.

What I like is it’s pushing out the Capital past next year into 2027. So this really becomes a 7th Round Value here. I think everyone knew OL was solid through 7 players. After that there is a substantial dropoff. Jennings and Monk have not looked good and RD7 John Williams injury likely puts an injury designation on him to start the season. I like this signing.

Kinnard was a Mockdraft Database (consists of a plethora of Scouting sites) #66 overall prospect. He slid some off consensus and was eventually drafted at #145 overall (opening of RD5)
* Possesses 0.5” shy of a 7 FOOT Wing Span and had 11.25” hands.
NFLDRAFTBUZZ has him as the only player I can recall owning a 100.0% Run block grade coming into the draft. Also, he didn’t give up much in Pass protect with a 93.0% Pass Block grade

He Was A 2021 SEC All American at
RT while at Kentucky.

What's up? Is he big? Has he won 3 SBs? Is he related to Dolly Parton?
It’s true. His Aunt is Dolly’s Cousin!

Just imagine if he Wins a SB with us? He’d be the only Player in history to be a 4-time consecutive Super Bowl Champion in his first 4 years. How strange it that? lol

He’s Good luck!

Belton is very raw, but much of his errors have been pre snap or post whistle. He’s a brute but sort of a project also. I noticed he still flattens Defenders (a calling card from college) and then lays on them. Lol

One more player who fits Gute's new pattern of assembling massive linemen on both offense and defense - 6'5", 322 pounds. I saw him play a number of times at Kentucky, and he was one of the best offensive linmen Kentucky had seen in years - he was a consensus All-American, and he won an award as the SEC's best run blocker.

He was expected to make the final 53, and Green Bay wouldn't have made the trade unless they already know he's making the 53 here, too. It works out well for the Eagles, because they have more depth on their o-line, and poaching a 322-lb lO-line mauler from a team like the Eagles is a nice move for Green Bay.

Bad news for Jacob Monk, though.

Monk may not be done for good. Just for now.

Kinnard was a good GM move. Let's face it though. Any OL obtained for a 6th round pick in a draft two years away wasn't worth much to the Eagles. It says far more about how most of our depth at the bottom of the OL chart has flopped. It probably also speaks to the availability of Banks to start the season.

This move makes me feel slightly better, but then decidedly worse....like eating ice cream late at night, and then having to run to the toilet!

Yes. Monk is also dealing with a Hamstrung injury. He’d be perfect to put on Practice Squad. I’m thinking that because no other teams will want to poach him.

I agree it's unlikely anyone else will want him very badly; he just hasn't shown enough.

Trading for Kinnard was a pretty low-risk move. It's not like it's going to win a Super Bowl, but it did raise the talent level on the offensive line right now, and all it cost us was a marginal prospect in 2026. Granted, Green Bay has a lot more success in the 7th than most other teams seem to, but still, we're talking players like Kalen King or Micah Robinson more commonly than Donald Driver or Scott Wells.

Good point. Players coming from good teams/player development will simply turn out better players. The Packers have a helluva lot of injuries heading into September. This means Telfort is out, imo.

And the Packers do a good job year over year coaching for the OL.

I was told here, that Kinnard would spell the end for either Sean Rhyan or Rasheed Walker.

Funny how I am always right;)
